Mother's Day
sexuality + comics +women= outlook of women
I typically read manga which is some sort of Japanese comic book. I love to draw and practically comics are nothing but a collage of drawn pictures put together. The comic typically is fun to read. But every since I started to learn in Women Gender Studies, I realize that the women are like sex figures. Most of the manga women have the biggest boobs ever. I am not a perve but I notice this and started to think. Why are their boobs so big? Is it because this is how women want to be perceived from the perspective of men who read the manga? I don't care for most of the pictures and etc but why most of the women are portrayed this way? I believe it's because that's what sells and therefore if it sells, we as the people will buy it. You can see this in videos and also movies and any other piece of entertainment that is shown on television or magazines and billboards. Not everything has to be about sex nowadays. I remember the days when women were no bigger than a twig, but now, you see nothing but double D’s, a small waist and a big butt to go along with it. This affects the thoughts of our younger youth to think that they need to have better b’s (booty, breast, beauty) instead of just being what they are and accepting the truth. But this cycle will not cease like the cycle of oppression, it will only worse before it gets better.

Down in the roots...
Slavery is one of the most known taboos in America. Not many talk about it or just know little about it. We now have an mixed President, which most people call black but over look the fact that he is mixed. However, his wife, Michelle Obama, is pure African American with an African background. Not many Americans know this. I surely didn't find out until I was in my U.S Women's History class. We were talking about successful women and slavery that day. Slaved women were priced higher than other men, due to the fact that women can produce more slaves than just buying them. I was shocked that our first lady was from pure African blood. If there's anything to "ooooo" and "ahhhh" to is at Mrs. Obama not only being the first lady, a lady of true slavery decent.

Control or to be control...that is the question.
Truthfully, I don't see the need why women must feel obligated to rule men because of our ancestors acting rude and un-gentlemen like to women or for whatever reason why a women must feel the need to. Must the men of our era suffer from the past wrong doings of men in the past? I say no. Nowadays, men are less controlling, but there are a few who typically have the "Ike" characteristics. However, some women are now having the feeling that they deserve to where the pants in the relationship. This is typically seen with women with men who are too nice and don't stand up for themselves in the relationship. And as men, we are becoming nicer and nicer because of the mannerisms and trying to do everything to please women. I agree with that idea, but let us share the pants and have equality and fairness.
